The Chicago Bears will be facing the Green Bay Packers in a big Thanksgiving Night NFC North clash this Thursday, November 26 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. The Bears’ two-game winning string was snapped when they were beaten 17-15 by the Denver Broncos last week. However, they still have a shot at a wild card postseason spot. They enter the game in third place in the division at 4-6. The Packers top the table at 7-3 and are coming off of a big 30-13 road victory over the Minnesota Vikings in week 11. The win ended their three-game losing skid in a big way.
- Pinnacle lists the Packers at -9 at -102 with the Bears +9 at -108 with the over 46.5 points at +100 and the under at -110

The Bears played well against Denver on the weekend, but fell just short of a win. Chicago had a chance to tie the game at 17 late in the contest, but missed a two-point attempt. Running back Jeremy Langford had the lone touchdown for the Bears, but had just 25 rushing yards on his 13 carries. This was a big letdown after gaining 182 total yards and a pair of touchdowns in a win over St. Louis a week earlier. In fact, the entire squad was bad on the ground against the Broncos with a grand total of 86 yards.
Chicago is hoping running back Matt Forte will be recovered from his knee injury in time for Thursday’s game along with wideout Alshon Jeffery. Quarterback Jay Cutler didn’t toss a touchdown pass last week and threw for 265 yards. However, he was also charged with a pair of turnovers with a fumble and interception during the fourth quarter. Overall, Cutler has been charged with close to 50 per cent of his team’s turnovers this season.

The Bears’ defense played well against Denver and sacked Broncos’ quarterback Brock Osweiler five times. They also kept their opponent to under 20 points for the third straight putting. The Bears concede 217 yards against in the air per week, which is the fourth lowest in the league. It will be interesting to see how they do against the Packers and quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Thursday. Recent history favors Green Bay here though as the Packers have won six of their past seven home games against Chicago and the Bears were 2-5 against the spread in those games.
The Packers looked good in Minnesota and dealt the Vikings their first home defeat of the campaign. What’s more important, they joined them at the top of the division and halted their three-game losing streak. Running back Eddie Lacy ran for a season-best 100 yards on his 22 carries and the team hopes he keeps the momentum for this week’s game. Rodgers, the reigning NFL MVP, threw for a pair of touchdowns against the Vikings, but completed just 16 out of 34 pass attempts for 212 yards.
Rodgers plays well against the Bears though with 13 touchdown passes and no interceptions against them in his past three encounters. He threw a trio of touchdown passes in the season-opener this year in Chicago. The Packers’ front seven recorded half a dozen sacks against Minnesota on Sunday after going without a sack in their three consecutive losses. With Green Bay back on track, they should be able to handle the Bears on Thursday.
